New Ulm Real Estate Helps Community Members During Hard Times

May 31, 2022

With COVID-19’s impact on the community, many businesses have stepped up and started their share of good deeds for the people of New Ulm this past month. One of those businesses being New Ulm Real Estate. Outside of their building, you might have noticed the table with a sign that reads “Take what you need, leave what you can.” That is their very own giving table. This gives people in need the opportunity to collect non-perishable food items from others who are willing to donate.

From seeing this idea online from other people in their own neighborhoods, Realtor, Chayla Henle, was inspired to start one of her own. “I was trying to think of a way that we could contribute to the community in a way that would be helpful,” Henle stated. The giving table has been up for just around two months now and has grown exponentially.

With the table being a great success, Henle stated, “It just makes me so happy to see that it’s working out and people are actually contributing and that we’re giving people an outlet for being able to help others.”

There has been a lot of positive feedback from this contribution. New Ulm Real Estate has received many thank you cards and messages on social media thanking them for all they do.

New Ulm Real Estate looks to make this a permanent feature by planning to make a large box for the donations instead of the table. You can find the donations outside of the New Ulm Real Estate building on the right side. Stop by at any time and feel free to donate or take as you need. To find more information on the giving table you can visit New Ulm Real Estate on Facebook.

“It’s not just us, it’s the whole community coming together… it’s a heartwarming experience.

— Chayla Henle
