Hy-Vee is an employee owned grocery store operating in the upper midwest. Hy-Vee got it’s start in 1930 when Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg opened a small general store in Beaconsfield, Iowa. Since then, Hy-Vee has grown in size and currently has over 240 stores and 82,000 employees.

Stone Yurich works in the meat department at Hy-Vee’s New Ulm location. Stone has worked in Hy-Vee for over a year, and started his career at Hy-Vee in the produce department. For Stone a day at Hy-Vee usually includes; selling items to guests, assisting guests, and cleaning up his work area. Stone enjoys working at HyVee, he enjoys the friendly vibes of his coworkers and seeing a helpful smile in every isle.

Jack Bodick works in the produce department at the New Ulm Hy-Vee. Jack Bodick has worked at Hy-Vee for two years, and started as a bag boy and has since worked his way up to the produce department. The typical work day for Jack starts by taking inventory of the products in his department, stocking his department, and assisting guests with helpful produce tips.  Jack also takes orders from guests over the phone, he prepares fruit baskets, and he even closes his department.
